A long HISTORY ~ of providing quality furnishings, appliances and
electronics the North Country ~ Since 1950
Top Furniture had it's beginning in 1950 on 8 Main Street, Berlin, NH by Alfred and Margaret Tourangeau.
Starting with the pledge of offering affordable home furnishings with weekly payments, "Top" and "Mom T"
built their business one customer at a time.
In 1961 Top decided it was time to become a shopping destination and became the first retailer to move off
Main Street and onto the Berlin-Gorham Road. Top Furniture offered everything from appliances, home electronics,
giftware, diamonds, furniture and outdoor "toys"!
In 1990 we completely renovated to keep up with the changing needs of our customers while continuing to
offer home furnishings, appliances and home electronics. Top Furniture became one of the few furniture
stores to still offer all three in one location!
2006 was the beginning of our newest adventure! We built a new 42,000 square foot store and 9 level
warehouse across the street. Though it was hard to leave the old store and the memories, we are now able
to display more product, deliver more quickly and efficiently with the same tremendous service of our loyal staff.
